Personal Reporting impacts several areas of the application including Enterprise Administration as it relates to access as well as the storage and visibility of reports.
Definitions for ad-hoc reporting related permissions:
Create Dashboard - Grants users the ability to create dashboards, which are customized layouts of published reports.
Create Reports - Grants users the ability to create an ad-hoc report.
Manage Dashboards - Grants users the ability to manage dashboards including editing, deleting, and assigning a dashboard to the organization home page.
Manage Published Reports - Grants users the ability to delete ad-hoc views and ad-hoc reports.
View Published Reports - Grants users the ability to view a published ad-hoc report without having any creation or management permissions or access to the starting ad-hoc views that were the basis of the report.

To allow for flexibility in Personal Reporting management, there are three levels of storage that will be available based on user roles:
Personal - Any ad-hoc views or ad-hoc reports created by this level of user will be stored in a Personal location only.
Personal / Organization - Any ad-hoc views or ad-hoc reports created by this level of user may be stored in a Personal or Organization location.
Storing a view or report in the Organization location means that other users in the organization(s) that the user copies the view or report to, may access the report.
These users will not be able to create a report that is stored in the Public location, accessible to all organizations.
Public / Personal / Organization - Any ad-hoc views or ad-hoc reports created by this level of user may be stored in a Personal or Organization location. Ad-hoc reports created by this level of user may be stored in the Public location.
In support of Personal Reporting, the baseline/starting ad-hoc views may be separated into two different segments for easier management and maintenance. To grant a user access to any or all standard baseline/starting views or security-related starting views, the appropriate view privilege should be added to a user's role(s). For example, a Security-related Access Role could be created with the 10 view privileges listed on the right side of the table below:
