Credit Memos may be processed against purchase orders.
There are a variety of reasons why a seller may issue a Credit Memo to a buyer. One common reason is the buyer returns a purchased item to the seller. The item may be defective, the wrong size, or the wrong color or perhaps the buyer just changed his or her mind regarding the purchase. Credit Memos may also be used on previously billed items relating to non-performance, invoices re-billed by the vendor, and more.
Select Create Credit Memo from the Invoice drop-down menu.
The application opens to the Credit Memo - Header Information page.
